Inspired by the shapes of traditional Japanese garden tools, Foku is a fully upholstered lounge chair made from simple geometric shapes that merge into a sculptural furniture design. Foku means "fork" in Japanese and is a nod to the traditional calculating tools used in Japanese Zen gardens for centuries. The fork, used to create gently minimalist lines and waves in the sand, is reinterpreted in the fluted seat of the Foku chair. Multiple layers of carefully selected foam types ensure a soft and extremely comfortable seating experience and emphasize the sculptural and voluminous shapes of the chair. Combine several Foku Chairs to create a sofa lounge. Each Foku Chair comes with two metal brackets that can be attached under the legs with a small screw. Foku is available in off-white bouclé and a taupe fabric from Sunproof. The Sunproof fabric in taupe is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The fabric is highly resistant to stains, water and sunlight and is easy to clean.
